What to expect when you work with the Part Experts at Protogenic, Inc.
- You will be treated professionally, and probably better than you are used to. We are the industry leader in service and results.
- Every phase of every order is handled with exacting care by your own Project Manager. You will have one point of contact once you place the order, from start to finish.
- You will receive accurate parts, delivered when promised. If something beyond our control interferes with that, you will know as soon as we do.
- Expect appropriate dimensional accuracy. Our typical tolerances for SLA models and most cast parts are +/- .005 inch total for dimensions less than 5”. For dimensions larger than 5”, we hold +/- .0015 inch per inch. See the laser sintering page for information about tolerances for laser sintering. For more on part accuracy, click here.
- When you order cast parts as part of your project, we will go over each part’s geometry to spot potential problems or concerns, and will work with you up front to get the details right.
- The materials we use to cast prototypes are not production materials, and we don’t claim that they are. We provide you with all the available data we have on material properties, and work with you to choose what’s best for your needs. Please see the Material Specification Sheets for additional information.
- We recommend threaded fasteners instead of using self-tapping screws, for durability. We will ask you about your requirements, and install them at no additional charge. Please see the Threaded Fasteners Sheet for additional information.
- Our color-matching abilities in cast urethanes lead the industry, and we’ll make every effort to match to your custom color. Some color/material combinations aren’t feasible, but we’ll let you know in advance.
- For best accuracy with larger urethane parts, we recommend allowing silicone molds to cure for a few days before casting parts, as the rubber shrinks over time. If your schedule doesn’t permit this, the first few parts will be slightly oversize. Other mold materials can be used to eliminate this effect, but severely limits mold life. Ask your Project Manager for more information.
- Protogenic guarantees Customer satisfaction: We will do whatever it takes to assure your satisfaction with our product. That means that, in the unlikely event that you’re dissatisfied, we will fix it, replace it, or refund your money.
